cod-the-creator: With all the money and devs they had, they should have been able to release Paladin, Spiritborn and like 5 others before asking for more money.
Zutang777: Saying “we went for a D2 direction and people didn’t like it” is gaslighting at its finest.
It was at most 5% D2 and was missing 95% of D2
Acuas: Paladin is their free revive item, they won't release it until they need to revive the game, because they are scared that what they do is not good enough to mantain people playing the game.
petebagwell6666: 1 new class in a dlc that costs the price of a switch game is a cop out
SinnfullDuck: I don't have anything against a cosmetic shop but $25-28 for a skin is just nuts! Why do these things cost more than $5-8? I haven't bought any skins so far but if they cost $5 I probably would have spend more than the $30 they want for a single skin right now. I really wish they would just lower the cost and let me spend my money in a guilt free and totally ridiculous way.
RushedPhenom: Guys, this is Blizzard's last, last, last, last chance
SilentTM: The largest problem with D4 is mobs scaling up to your level. It kills any sense of progression and power fantasy.
BalbazaktheGreat: Diablo IV's main problem is that it's boring. Grinding the same limited pool of content over and over again isn't fun, and the only people who would enjoy it are hardcore loot gambling addicts... I say "would" because D4 loot sucks ass, so its hard for me to see how it would satisfy anyone. With D2, you'd play through the campaign, and then either play the same campaign again with a new character or on a higher difficulty level. This works because the progression through the campaign naturally provides variety and a constant goal to work towards (a goal that isn't something meaningless like grind 10,000 seasonal reputation points or whatever), while the campaign depth is deep enough that you don't feel like you are mindlessly repeating the same content. What does D4 do? It throttles the absolute shit out of your progression if you want to play the campaign (you can hit the lvl 50 soft cap easily just by playing through the 1st chapter), taking the fun out of the experience. Or you can skip the campaign and lock yourself into a tiny amount of repetitive and lackluster content... man, I sure do love sitting in one place farming 500 helltide bosses in a row. Or the same 4 boring, grindy Pit bosses again and again and again...
HeartsOfGrey: D4 devs saying they went the D2 direction is insulting af.
game_jinx: definitely minimal elements of diablo 2. diablo 4 is a diablo 3 with dark shadows
DavidT811: In D2:LoD the itemization is just great. Whites, blues yellows, uniques and sets all have use. Things drops for all classes and isn’t tied to what your playing so it could literally drop an item that leads to building another toon. I’ve played d2 so much since I was a kid and still haven’t seen some items drop. The chase can last 4ever.
boltgang6192: D2 is still king. You don’t get any excitement from gear drops is in D4 like D2. POE2 looks more in line with pace and probably gear progression. D4 is just a auto loot game and season 4 was easy
JayPlaysEverything: I'm old enough to remember when you bought a game you owned it and it was complete.
Everdred: This is the first time in Diablo history that I found out about a new class being created and completely forgot about it, no excitement for the new class whatsoever.
travistweedle9674: I'm not paying another penny on D4 until they give me a Paladin. And I really feel like they screwed us over when it wasn't in the base game.
chosen_one13: The D2 LOD grind to lvl 99 took forever...
trueazul: Bellular is sus can’t say I fully trust his angles, blaming d2??? Wtf
xRaptorScreamx: Tried D4 from Game Pass with a friend in a co-op before S4, i got bored and annoyed with it in the first 3 Acts.
Friend was Barbarian and he kinda liked it, i was Sorc and hated it, always stuck without mana or in cooldowns. And in all that play time the story and game play didnt do anything for us
GloryGeist: if the spirit born is the replacement for a Paladin & they do not plan to give us the Holy class
DEMONS!
viperdemonz-jenkins: D4 is fun until the season content is maxxed, and that does not take all that long.
caseyfournier823: Diablo IV is only Diablo because they bought the name. Just like how Star Wars is only in name since Disney bought it. I'm done being fooled by Blizzard lol. They took a loyal customer who bought everything and made me buy nothing for a while now and I don't see ever going back.
dorout1: They 100% did NOT go in the direction of D2. If they did they would have introduced a completely different itemization system. The items are what makes or breaks these types of games and D4 is nothing like D2. I stopped playing within a short period because you are inundated with uniques and legendries (same problem with D3), but before you are level 30. From there you just replace the same item with the same item, only difference is ilvl and rolls. The diversity in itemization is lacking as well as the builds. I don't want to run around with 5,000% vulnerability damage. It is so egregious and dumb to look at.
Electric-Boogalo: Stop the gaslight.
D4 meh at best
ghosti79: They had like 4 years of making this game, had over 9000 employees working on this game and wasted like 300 million dollars on this game and this is what they got to show.
vinicius_nunes: The problem with D4 is that they are trying to make it like D2 when they don't have the capacity for it (the actual developers of that game left) and are just coming up with similar and worse ways. While also some things in D2 may not work on today's gaming experience either, such as taking months to farm one rare piece of gear, or even longer to max level a character. In today's gaming experience, we have a LOT more alternatives than back then, so players can easily stop a game when it gets boring and go for something else.
mylesanderson4073: Mercenaries available with the purchase of the expansion pack. We are effectively paying for features we used to have in base game diablos.
MotoDad42: I got the Xbox game pass just to try D4... And as a D2 player still to this day, I refuse to play d4 at lvl 23 I well full geared out in legendary items.. and at that point when you realize you can just do a helltide and move all your core legendary powers onto gear, you realize right there you already beat the game... In D2 you have to spend countless hours getting to lvl 92 to just get to a point that you can actually craft good items... And @Darthmicrotransaction TV, did you beat the under bosses and farm the keys to get a torch? Did you actually kill uber Diablo? That's when the game gets intense, being a lvl 86 hardcore player and fighting Uber Diablo shit gets wild making sure you don't die... Because that's countless hours, not just like, 6 hours of play
