HailtotheThief21: PSA for anyone who thinks putting Emeralds in staff for crit dmg is better than putting the runeword there. INT gems in armor > CritDmg in Weapon, here's why:
172% crit dmg in your weapon (of 4500% total) is roughly 3.8% increase to the multiplier. Not a lot.
Whereas 300 int added to the 2650 total is roughly 11% increase. Or, if you look at the int skill dmg increase at those int amounts, it's 590% vs 665% - which is also an 11% increase. Plus, keep in mind, it's a BASE dmg bucket, from which all other damage is multiplied.
Side note, he addresses that choice specifically and literally says the opposite XD but, I figured it's better to actually say something, rather than parrot without knowing why.

dizk8488: There's no need to put points in chain lightning and static discharge anymore. You aren't running overflowing energy or charged glyph so the crackling energy does nothing. Frees up 4 points on skill tree.
nitro1048: I never played Path of Exile but after a 16 months Diablo 4 Beta test that cost 80 euro or something I don't intent to pay another 40 just to play a new class and a few zones ect. The main reason is that the game still looks boring and Poe2 is releasing 1 month later and free so rather try something fresh.
Diablo 4 is making great changes in the past 6 months but the expansion seems like more of the same. Some builds are still completly broken (wich is fine by me) but when your having fun they just destroy it (Whirlwind Barb) and they are still not capable of fixing certain classes (Necro for example). And builds are still the same as always , already played all of them.
You would say with all the runeworking , Masterworking ect. They can do whatever they want and add fresh things all the time. Also still need to see if the new Endgame stuff is actually fun or just more grinding.
The only way that I can think of that raids are actually good and give you a reason to build strong characters are unique and intresting boss fights mechanics (every season) like Poe2 ( and Wow) is doing with every boss in the game and rewards other than loot like Unique armor sets on the same level as the shop mounts ect. And perhaps even easier Mythic Uniques wich get boring to get every season over and over. Altough turning Runewords into Mythics does sound intresting depending on how long it takes to farm enough of those.
All in all I see allot of positives but not sure if its enough right now. Specially since we need to pay again when a possibly superior game in each and every way releases just 1 month after this badicly for free.
