crimsonhawk52: Brother if you think they put that passive with Angels in the campfire on *accident*, I have a bridge to sell you
Janduin45: I rooted for Lilith through the entire story of D4.
kolai1987: I think we have all assumed that Nayrelle is the Vessel of Hatred for Mephisto, buuuutttt I am pretty sure it is going to be us, the vessel of Lilith to defeat Mephisto. How? Well, the season 5 questline really went out of its way to remind us that we carry Lilith's blood, can take on her power, and have a blood borne connection to her -- perhaps not too dissimilar to how Leah was possessed by Diablo, her being his offspring. We also know that there are two pathways for a demon to return - reforming over time in hell, and a host acting as an anchor for the demonic essence.
And then there is the last line of the Rathma's extended prophecy:
I saw a child give birth to a mother, as Hatred’s sun set and that of Terror and Destruction dawned.
Again, most assumed the child is Nayrelle -- but Nayrelle bears no connection to Lilith (the Mother). We do, and I have already established how we can be perceived as 'the child' in this sense in comparison to Leah.
rickfowler273: And the Paladin will come in and save us all….
DavidBusa: Did you forget the Inarius vs. Lilith fight. She lured him into Halls of the DAMNED and then "slayed" him. She just basicaly corrupted his energy, tore his wings and sent him to hell to prove that he belongs there. Soooo, my assumption is that Inarius will return as fallen angel, he will spread his corruption to other angels and we will fight them all.
soulward6334: And here we are, in a game with angels and demons......no paladin class.
TheTourage: We need more bosses. Lots of them, even hidden ones that you have explore to find. I am a barb with three mythics and nothing new to do. I’m just collecting mats to fight the same Uber bosses over and over again.
maxpowers4436: That helm is more so joining Lilith and not choosing a demon or Angel side.
Lilith is a demon but she is on her own side against heaven and hell. Hence why they helm buffs you against both.
rmeng3: At the end of D4, my take away when Inarius was killed was that the rest of the Angels dgaf about Sanctuary and humanity. They just want to make sure nothing gets out of hand. Hell, Inarius didnt really care about humanity except as a potential means to an end.
On the flip side, after everything the demons have done, there is no way we decide the demons were the good guys all along.
I'd speculate that in Vessel, with Mephisto coming back, Heaven (maybe just a faction) decides that Sanctuary is a liability and needs to be destroyed. Maybe Vessel is about humanity realizing we cant turn to either side and can only rely on ourselves.
b.a.r.gaming2124: That tyrael line gives me the chills. I love diablo lore
Deal2306: I know many some people don’t care about the lore but they 100% fumbled Inarius. He had so much great lore then they made him look like a simp and totally off brand from established lore and character in D4. I only hope they handle the other Angels better.
Darbobski: I think they have been building up to a faction of aggressive angles for a long time. There are obviously different factions of Angels within the game. It is not really a spoiler except for the timing of when we would get this.
