DimkaLSRO: It's just shocking how can one league of a free to play game simply obliterate it's competitor's all seasons. Like combined. There's more content added than Diablo 4 had in it's entire history. And having these releases on the same day really gives us a contrast and raises question whether Diablo 4 is even going towards true ARPG path.
Macronaso: Diablo 4 presentations have been, since the start, 90% fluff. When you watch a PoE presentation you feel overwhelmed because there's simply no time to waste, they are really pressed to put everything they can on that small timeframe and it's very difficult because they always add so much. With blizzard it ALWAYS feels like they're expanding 5 minutes of actual updates into hours and hours of nothing. And even on the stuff that matters, they repeat themselves over and over on stuff that should be pretty easy to grasp for the regular player, spreading the little information they have to offer even more thin.
I have no idea how this goes unnoticed.

D4 is a marketing office that had a meeting to discuss their product strategy.
RamzaBehoulve: It's just how it is. D4 can definitively be more casual than PoE and LE.
But there could be SOME complexity. There is literally none. Each class has like 3 viable builds, zero diversity.
How is that going to teach what the genre really is, where character building is so important?
SlickSpingo: PoE Devs have their game figured out. They know what they want to do and they know how to do it. They have the base game in such a good state, which makes it easier to add to it.
Compare this to D4 where the devs have basically not figured out what this game is supposed to be. Now they are slowly getting to the point where they can add stuff instead of fixing the meager base they have.
HenryBonesJr: Based on my experience with D4 and what I've seen advertised about its expansion, I'm finding it difficult to talk myself into buying it. On the other hand, I see many reasons to invest in PoE 2.
patton3338: I think the problem is Blizzard is still trying to do the bare minimum and it shows. It should have been BOTH the Spirit Born and Paladin being added in the expansion.
LoD for D2 had 2 new classes, a new act, Uber endgame content, a revamped item system, and of course Runewords. The best mechanic that diablo games have ever come up with.
They completely rebalanced the game and made it 10x better. Its a high bar that legacy has set, and I've yet to see anything nearly as ambitious with D4.

paulyshore350: The spirit born is not a Diablo class. It's a warcraft class. The player base has been asking for Paladin since the game launched. How is it you don't have a holy class in a Diablo game? Along with Diablo. Blizzard and the Diablo dev team doesn't give a rip about the players.

XxBlackPathxX: D4 doesn't even really feel like D3 with a fresh coat of paint.. it feels like a Diablo knock off game. There's no Diablo, horadric cube, runes, sets, and still missing classses to name a few. Maybe we'll find these in the in game store at some point.

Kolzigstudio: Have a buddy who does not play ARPG's tryout D4. This was his feedback:
- The Campaign is so good! I love the story!
- I killed Lilith! Now I am sad. She was a great, villain? hero?
- What is the goal after I kill her? Get more gear? but why? I already killed the boss?
- Oh the entire "end game" is just to make my numbers go up? but why?
For him, there was no reason to continue to play after the campaign as he had already killed the boss of the game and was not given a reason to kill her again aside from "Make numbers go up". I thought it was interesting input that a lot of us go into grind goblin mode and don't care why we are doing some of these things. There is no story element that I am aware of that makes Lilith, still being alive, make sense. For him, the grind had no purpose other than to justify its own exitance.

If D4 has a Problem with player retention, then Why Keep the Game so simple so you Don’t Need to invest time in it? You can’t retain Players without they having to put some effort in the Game.
D4 has become a mobile Game: content only for Money. Always incomplete in Order to make Space for more Money making: next Season (with a pass), next DLC (paid one obvious) will “fix” the Game…
And no, there will be a Paladin class only if the game is sinking hard : Same happened in D3, Crusaders only came when the Game was nearly dead.
