Diablo 4 The Stat Squish Failed Big OOOF!

Sep 14 2024

Waiden01: When I've heard stats squish, I expected that the highest damage number would be around 10 000 or something.
dez_player1: I think its important to remember that just finding Ancestral items will be the biggest grind unless its adjusted
Takanit: At least they could change the damage display format to be like in D3, showing 5M and 8B instead of 5,000,000 and 8,000,000,000
iiPhreaq: I think the more alarming thing is hitting 5B and the boss health barely moving. I know it’s t100 but Jesus.
cycleproduction3527: Don't forget on PTR for S4 people did complete Pit T200 and then devs rebalanced things here and there. I might be wrong, but on live servers there's still nobody who did T200.
moonjt9: Way too many multipliers in the game, ridiculous glyph additive damage. It’s crazy. The glyphs are a huge problem.
BlackStarASMR: Blizzard does not employ mathematicians. The development team does not seem to understand what exponential growth is.
sinyrd: Stat squish at levels 1-50 feels really good, but then for some reason from 51-60 you go from items giving 7 HP to 70 HP. Just by keeping the progression linear 1-60 we could end up with 5-10x lower numbers.
Kesoyyo: I´m gonna tell you why this happens. Becasue they dont play they own game... in a frew days on ptr, people notice all the problems, all the dmg issues, a lot of builds to overcome the dificulties... They had been doing this expansion for a year ¿? they cant play a little bit and see that the numbers are going out of hands again? ofc they dont, because they cant even test it themselfs.
KemuelJancorda: No stat squish, numbers would go up to quadrillions in S6.
