Diablo 4 STOP BEING BAD Guide Attack power, Mythics, How to Improve in Lear...

iwishihadgoodinternet7766: "Have a lot of Uber Uniques like me"
d4mephisto: You're close but not exactly correct on how whirlwind tornadoes are spawned. So let me break it down. Btw I'm a diablo veteran, been playing since early 2000s in my childhood basement computer room way way back in original Diablo 2 before LoD expansion was even a thing.

Ok so, there are two ways to play ww. Hold the button, or spam click it. The reason whirlwind benefits especially from spam clicking is because it is a channeling skill. The same is true on skills like decompose and lightning storm (necro and druid skills). If you spam click these channeling spells, rather than holding them down, you gain massive benefits. Because they are coded differently as channeling skills, they don't function like all other skills with regard to attack speed. They use a different attack speed formula to calculate the tick rate per second for channeling skills. The tick rate matters because it determines things like, when does damage get dealt, and how often/when should resource be consumed while channeling. We can sort of "abuse" this by spam clicking these channeling skills, allowing us to basically attack at the maximum possible attack rate WITHOUT NEEDING ANY ATTACK SPEED BONUSES AT ALL on our gear, in our paragons, or on our aspects/uniques. This is MASSIVE. It can 2x your damage output, if not more, because you can spend your entire stat budget on items and paragons on non-attack speed damage bonuses, and then STILL benefit from extra damage with greatly increased attack speed. This is key to understanding how to make a truly powerful channeling build like whirlwind.

And somehow, this 'bug' as I call it, where you spam a channeling skill, has never been touched / fixed by the devs, so this little tech remains with us today. For example, the last two seasons I played a lightning storm druid, and I was able to output ridiculous damage for an otherwise considered "weak" build simply by spamming lightning storm instead of holding down the button.

So here's a few other pieces of info. First, any attack speed stats will give you no benefit if you already are spam clicking a channeling skill. So if you play ww barb and you are constantly spam clicking WW to generate tornadoes, any attack speed on your items would be going to waste, because attack speed stat does not interact AT ALL with spamming a channeling skill. The rate at which you can spam click a channeling skill does not increase
emc2990: Slaydra; you are rapidly exceeding the "best" or "meta" content creators and "theorycrafters" through simple work. You CLEARLY play the game A LOT. You clearly have output your knowledge through many hours of actually testing your builds. You clearly have a passion for this. You clearly put in the work and love actually helping people enjoy the game like you do. I just wanted to say well done! Keep up the good work, the passion, and the learning. I could easily see you becoming the next Asmongold in a few years. :)
mkloudsql3285: I made bbq sauce pizza once with chicken and sausage. It was great
rednab2001: This is always going to be an issue moving forward. Streamers and people who play games 8-12 hours a day give an unrealistic view of what can be done in a video game. This is especially true for ARPGs where time and knowledge are king. Don't get me wrong, the streamers and content creators are doing a great service to the gaming community by making build guides and videos on the best/most efficient way to play the game. Unfortunately, many players watch this content and scratch their heads on why they cannot duplicate that.

The more complicated and difficult a game is makes this problem even worse. I watch Path of Exile streamers play, and they are playing a completely different game than I am when I play POE. D4 is less complicated and is easier, so most players can get closer to what they see from streamers, but 99% of the player base is not playing video games for a living and don't have the time to invest to play at the highest levels of the game.

Gamers that watch and follow streamers need to recognize the time and knowledge disparity and set more realistic goals within the game. I learned this hard lesson playing POE. D4 Season 5 has been great for me. I got my first character to level 100, and I got my first tormented boss kill (though it took me 5 minutes to kill it.) I definitely think build guide creators could help more people by creating three levels of end game guides. This is very popular in POE. You have a guide and gear list for entering end game. You have a mid-game guide that will focus on gear upgrades and stats to look for. And you have a high tier guide that shows all the BIS gear. When I play POE, I know I don't have the time or knowledge to get BIS gear, so I concentrate my efforts on getting the mid game gear.
PanchyGames: stop being bad? so I need to stop using slaydra builds cause last two builds was shet and I just switch to maxroll and I was doing great
bungmonkey2295: Just play stormslide druid like me. 1200 aether solo never die looks awesome
alessioleporati1478: In season 4 my attack power was 80k and in season 5 my attack power is 55k but I do seven times more damage in season 5 because of Multiplicative bonuses and crit chance, crit damage, and attack speed. Attack power is damage, but it's not the whole picture. In addition to the damage you do, other things like defense and utility matter as well, also resource and CD management, speed, attack speed, all of these things matter in the endgame.
jf2849: I’ve been playing since launch barely taking any breaks and I’ve still never found a Harlequin Crest.
ShinzoX90: Do you have any thoughts of your own or are you going to consistently wait for Rage or Rax to drop videos and then rip them off?
insfrag: I have 1/100th of your attack power, that 2.4M you show at the beginning of the video, never even thought it was possible.
