dishmanw: When micro transactions cost as must as the game, can they really be called micro transactions?
Daxiongmao87: ”$$ shop items will not look flashy or better than any gear available as drop in game” — D4 promotional videos before release
sunmoon7437: Well well well. We got ginger Charlie AKA Penguin0 before GTA 6
ConradSly: the issue with cosmetics is that fundamentally the game is about the items you FIND. There is a huge hole in the emotional connection the player has with the character and the items they adorn as a result of the cash grab of cosmetic microtransactions. Finding cool looking items is an essential part of this type of ARPG imo.
Stake-zc6hw: If the cosmetics were micro they probably would have already made hundreds and hundreds of dollars from me but I only have got one skin because every time I look at the shop I can’t justify the prices.
Dakingsnake: People buying cosmetics at those prices in a game where you can barely see your character is insane. I haven’t bought a damned thing.
I’m confused. These prices are crazy
78vintages: As long as there is not p2w I don't care
BeanisMcbongwater: The fact there isn’t even a unique model for 70% of legendary but there’s over 50 skins on the cash shop for each class says it all
KeanuChrist: I had to double-take when I saw the thumbnail.
chriscammock3289: I couldn't get over that start, I had to loop it
chrisb4248: They arent looking to make games anymore people. It is what it is.
cheeseblast: Yall deadass made a shitty game a billion dollars :D
Truly the darkest timeline, love it!
vinkniv: New hearthstone "mythic" Ragnaros portrait is $60.
You can get Wukong for that money.
tinfoilpapercut3547: You can buy an infinite number of Path of Exiles for that horse.
Cotsos88: As long as it's not P2win items and also not predatory random lootboxes, they can charge 500$ for them for all I care. I've never paid a single dollar on cosmetic items.
sgt7512: 150 million doesn't seem like a lot tbh
girthpapi: Blizzard just does almost all the monetization models and then charges a ridiculous amount for the best cosmetics, and people still defend this shit. Make it make sense.
_MikeJon_: They should really cut the prices. I'm happy they've killed it but I'd bet they would make even more if the prices were reasonable. I'd buy a 5$ mount skin or something way more than I'd consider buying a 25$ one.
gearzdesign: As you've said, the sets they sell are far superior to any of the armor in-game. This goes completely against what they originally said would happen.
coffeebeangood1538: 1 billion in sales for this dumpsterfire. I guess we (the consumers) get exactly what we deserve. Things will not change if greed keeps working
BigPeeve: bro i got bamboozled by that thumbnail
twopoint71: 10/10 for the cat.
herbsworth: Diablo took ~£70 from me for an unfinished game. I havent gone back, and that will be the last money that Blizzard take from me for a very long time.
AzoTheRed: Gamers need to face it. The casual market controls this franchise.
mikerankin5390: They'd probably make more on the in game purchases if they were cheaper
Arnyh0ld: Fans saying "this is fine" while they are sold a game on full triple A price and then see an expansion for the exact full game price not even a year later, all the while forced to look shit if they don't pay even more will never cease to amaze me. Nice video though.
