andyl8055: One thing that would be very positive is the ability to temper but not accept the new value if you choose not to. Rolling the right affix at a weak level becomes risky to roll again; I have several items with 4 tempers left and a bad roll because I don’t want to risk completely bricking it.

chuwiebaca: One time use is pointless. The chance of bricking items is still high because sought after tempers are weighted unfairly even if there are 3 tempers in one scroll.
wowitzjamz: Can't wait to brick an item, use a scroll of re-tempering, then proceed to brick it again 'cause your rolls keep landing on the same stat you don't want.
georgeo5752: In a way this is more annoying. It means if/when first attempt at tempering an item fails. You gotta keep it for ages until u get a scroll. Then imagine if you then use scroll and brick it
teanymonster5227: one 1 time use per item... what a bummer so even if we spend like 1b or more on a perfect item it can still brick.
Rainbowfrog-0: Here is how this play out: The scroll comes out in season 6 and everyone still hates tempering. In season 7 the scroll will drop more often and be usable multiple times on any item and everyone will still hate tempering. In season 8 blizzard will finally realise that nobody likes their bandaid fix to tempering and tempering will be reworked in season 10.
Thats the Blizzard cycle of feedback and changes.
drdynanite: I hope they revisit tempering and give players more control of this system. So far they haven't made any improvements to the core of tempering (which is essentially pure rng) and just gave players more chances.
bradreeder7635: They just need to have a gold cost for temper reset. Like masterwork. Why is it so hard to figure out? You literally already did it, D4 devs. You have the answer in the game...jeeze.
