enthusiasticgamer88: These methods are not an issue. I've played 200 hours this season and can clear pit 105 in 5 minutes. The amount of grinding required to farm the gear, get all the correct tempers and masterwork with 3/3 hits is insane. You're talking thousands of hours frankly which basically no one has the time to invest so therefore doesn't impact 99.9% of players. The fact these things are achievable is cool but they are unobtainable for basically everyone so who cares??? The only somewhat feasible one is sorcs with perma flameshield and they are already pretty handicapped so I could care less.

- I want a challenge sometimes. That's why I preordered Elden Ring DLC
- When I'm playing D4, I want to feel like an immortal god deleting screens. I wouldn't never opened D4 looking for a challenge.
Since pits are a time trial and you will start failing with the immortal builds (not using an unique helm can be huge on barb, not sure about other classes), let us waste a ton of mats trying to get our immortal builds up and running, don't fix it on S5. It is a game aiming to please casuals, anyway... Embrace that, devs, don't nerf the silly things.
Edit: I don't really see the deal of making D4 something it is not - a super challenging game. They would need to overhaul a lot of things before doing that - like some hit boxes, performance hiccups, rubberbanding, etc. I have no trouble killing anything but a couple bosses in Elden Ring, but most things feel "fair and square" - I'm not terrible. I can't make sense of some Uber Lilith abilities and I died a couple times in Helltide because a player was on my TP triggering whatever harbinger stuff and my graphics card didn't load things in a timely manner. So let me have the fun stuff while still not clearing max level pit anyway.
And you - @Wudijo - know deep down that whatever they design with their wide audience in mind, you will crush it in one week or two, if is mathematically possible. The game will be as easy for you if they remove those things, but it would be one less things for the power casuals to strive for - immortality.
